on Twilight Saga

Yay, I am finally done with all my great reads! Hubby gifted me all four books of the Twilight Saga last Christmas. My oh my, I was really entertained and so engrossed that I can hardly put them; and I didn't stop until I read all four of them. Now I can move on with my everyday life without thinking what happened to this vampire and werewolf. Woohoo! Imagine, I read all of them in just merely 5 days. I am really lovin' them! I am also happy that hubby got them in hard cover which means that they will be part of my collection. So, what's next? Hmmm, I am thinking of going to and be amazed with the world of the wizards. What do you think, guys?

Christmas morning

Merry Christmas, guys! How is your Christmas so far? Has Santa been good to you? For us here, it has been soooo good. My Katiebug made out a bandit out of Christmas as usual. She just can't contain her happiness and excitement with all the gifts she got this morning. She was all: "Oh my!" "I really, really like it, Dad!" and "Thank you, Santa!" She is funny and cute, I should say.

I still have to make noodles to bring for Christmas lunch at my sister-in-law's house. Yes, we are invited there today and I am really looking forward to see them and celebrate Christmas with them. I truly hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas. Blog with you, later...

a wonderful Christmas Eve dinner

Looking at the pictures, you can say that we really had fun. I am so glad that Arlyn with her husband, Jeremy and her little boy, LJ were able to have dinner with us last December 24. Hmmm, I don't know why we missed to take pictures of our husbands, LOL! We were just so excited to eat and to chitchat. Actually, we really didn't prepare lots of food but I can say that the dinner was a success! Hubby grilled some steaks and made his specialty Stuffed Manicotti; and I made my Macaroni Salad and Pork Caldereta aside from the other side dishes. Hubby and I were so glad that everything turned out great. Thanks, Arlyn and family for gracing our house with your presence. Love you, guys!

wishing for a jacuzzi tub

We are renting a home right now which really has what you would call an ordinary basic bathroom. We are hoping that someday the people who own this home we rent might consider selling the home we are in so we might have the opportunity to buy it. It is in a great neighborhood with a big yard and it would give us a great opportunity to remodel the home starting with the bathroom. The first thing I would start with is requesting hubby to install a jacuzzi tub. Jacuzzi tubs are the best thing since apple pie if you ask me. The bathroom is one of those rooms you spend a great deal of time in and why not make it totally enjoyable.

We would knock down some walls, build on to the master bed room and make ourselves to a bathroom we have always dreamed of. With jacuzzi prices becoming more affordable more now than ever, we might be able to really find ourselves the one we have always dreamed of. For example, jacuzzi bathrooms uk has some units that really fits our needs. I’m really getting excited to soon own a Jacuzzi tub because I know hubby will find a way to make it happen. It might not be in this home but I can guarantee in the future it will be in a home we will own.

hard-working hubby

Hubby has to work this morning. He said he just want to finish a job so he can log in 84 hours for this week. Can you believe that? He had really worked so hard the past few weeks. He said he had to since next week is a two day off for him. Remember that he is in an automotive industry and auto techs are paid by commission. That stinks, right? You should know how bad the health insurance in the said industry, too. You wouldn't dig it! But hubby said that he just have to do what is needed to be done; and hope for the best! And it surely will, by God's grace!

to advertise your business

We have a friend of ours who is starting up a new business venture. Along with all the cost of opening a new business, there is the cost of advertising that if not done correctly, can make or break you. When money is short and times are hard, you must use every penny wisely. We were looking for a way to help him with his advertising and came up with a really good idea.

He had stated that there are a lot of times that he will run specials but it’s too expensive to change advertising and get it out in short notice. We thought that as he builds a client base with emails and phone numbers, there is an sms service that he could use to get the sales and product information to his customers quickly. A company called Text Magic offers a text service that will work from an email account or phone account that you can do bulk sms.

With this serviced priced very inexpensively, he can reach his customers directly without relying on them hearing or seeing an ad on the radio or TV. Without a doubt, there is a time to use major advertising on TV or radio, but when you want your very best customers to see the deals you are offering first, Text Magic is the way to go.

what a double celebration!

Happy Birthday, Arlyn! We just come from a girlfriend's birthday dinner. I was so happy to see her and her boy again; and it was nice to finally meet her husband. It was quite intimate since there were only two families being invited but we had fun. The guys were watching the movie, Terminator 2; Arlyn and I blabbing while half-watching said movie; and the kids had a blast playing. Her husband prepared a lot of food (American) and they were all yummy-o. Thanks, guys for inviting us over. Again, Happy Birthday, Arlyn! Would you believe that it was also their 7th wedding anniversary? Congratulations, guys! Best wishes and many happy returns! A double celebration indeed, right?

it's the most wonderful time of the year...

Seasons Greetings Comments and Graphics for MySpace, Tagged, Facebook

"It's the most wonderful time of the year," that's me singing. December is here, YAY! It's my favorite time of all. Our Christmas for this year is special since this is the first time we celebrate it here in San Antonio. I am really wanting to have gold motif for all my Christmas decorations but it's just so unreasonable especially in this hard economy. So, hubby and I (like last year) have decided to use what Christmas decors we already have. It's going to be great; and I hope all of us will have great Holiday Season.

on Lady Gaga's bad romance

My little girl and I love this song so much. We just can't help but sing and dance every time we hear it in our car's XM radio. I find it funny when my girl will sing the intro of this song - "Rah-rah-ah-ah-ah/Roma-roma-mah/Gaga-ooh-la-la" Every time she does that, I can't help by giggle.

The title of the song is Bad Romance by the pop singer Lady Gaga. This song is the first single of her second album, The Fame Monster. I was really trying to look forward her being the guest of Ellen DeGeneres Show and I missed it! Bummer! Thanks to youtube, I was able to watch her appearance and her performance on that show. I just love the beat of all her songs. It makes you dance and leaves you singing along with it. She might be weird but she is really amazing.

thanks for provision

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Let's count our blessings and be thankful to Him for all the gifts that He has endowed to us everyday. Here's a prayer I found in the web that I would like to share with you to thank Him for all the blessings. I hope you like it and I wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration. Enjoy and be safe!

Almighty and gracious Father,

We give you thanks for the fruits of the earth in their season

and for the labors of those who harvest them.

Make us, we beseech thee,

faithful stewards of thy great bounty,

for the provision of our necessities and the relief of all who are in need,

to the glory of thy Name;

through Jesus Christ our Lord,

who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Spirit,

one God, now and for ever. Amen.

the color purple

Do you love purple? I do especially that it's the color of my birthstone, Amethyst. Hmmm, come to think of it I am not sure if I have a piece of clothing where the color is purple. Though I like this color but I am not sure as to wearing it.

Anyways, here's what I found from Glamour in my web surfing as to the dos and don'ts of wearing purple. As we know that this luxe shade is the color of royalty; but be careful, please or you'll look more Barney than a baroness.

Do

Jeans paired with a silky purple blouse? Slightly Prince, very chic.

Fun and surprisingly wearable: a purple coat. Love the retro shape!

These ladies know: Hot-colored boots or booties + neutral everything else = a Do.

Gorgeous girl, gorgeous dress, such a gorgeous Do.

Don’t

Yes, we love the bold color, but hat-to-toe purple? That’s a little much.

The lilac slasher suit? Borderline for Lady Gaga; absolute Don’t for everyone else!

Clearly these two are working a look—and that’s a Do. But shag-ruggy coats? Don’t.

bug and preschool

As you know that we didn't put my 4 year old girl to Preschool due to health issues. What hubby and I to make up for this is buy her Preschool materials in the store, and we will do all the works here at home. I can really feel that my little girl is so excited to go to school especially that she's seeing her 5 year old cousin goes to school everyday. She's always telling me that she would like to play with other kids and would like to ride a school bus. It kind of sadden me when she's talking like this but I know that the decision not to put her to preschool is for her own good.

So every morning, you can always hear my bug saying: "Mommy, let's do my school!" And she is really at it and doing better by the day. I am amazed by the fact that she can crayon well now, in fact better that her 5 year old cousin. She is also doing better with her writing alphabets and with often practice, she will perfect her writing skill in no time. I am really glad for this preschool materials that hubby bought for it makes mine and my little girl's day a fun learning experience. I am just hoping and praying for God to give me more patience because I really need it especially with my bug who is in the curious stage right now and always asking, "why?" on everything. You think, she's a smarty pants? Her father believes that she is! Have a good one all!

trouble sleeping?

Insomniac like me? Try this home remedy that I have learned from my web surfing. Surprisingly, it really works. When you can’t sleep, concentrate on extending your exhales. Inhale for a count of four, and exhale for a count of eight. It is said that in yoga, exhales are associated with release and detoxification. By taking such long exhales, you help yourself relax and it makes it much easier to let go of all the thoughts that are swirling around in your head, keeping you up. If that count it too long for you, try inhaling for three and exhaling for six. I use this technique when I wake up in the middle of the night, and it only takes a few rounds before I am drifting back off.

to have an awesome life!

Good morning everyone! How was your morning so far? I hope you wake up happy and gay. It is very important to be awake each morning potentially inspired, centered, with a sense that many options and opportunities stretch before you. How to do this is sometimes difficult especially in the economy, right?

However, you just think that: You’re alive. That in itself is a reason to rejoice each moment. You may have your rough days and your sad days, but as long as you are breathing you can access awe. When you get out of bed in the morning and put your feet on the floor, give thanks that you are part of a great adventure, an ever-expanding journey. Have a good one all!

eating too much...

We had a hearty dinner tonight. For our Friday night out, we went to Buffalo Wings Bar and Grill since we are craving for hot wings tonight. My, my, my, their wings are just so spicy hot! Yummy-o! I was also craving for some popcorn shrimps and what a treat it has been for me since they also have that in their menu. Geez, it has been three nights in a row that I have broken my diet. My bad! That's why for this week, I didn't lose a tad even doing ellipticals an hour a day. Oh well! I promise I will behave next week, you think?

coffee reduces workout pain?

"Consuming caffeinated coffee an hour before vigorous exercise may help prevent pain while you're working out, suggests a 2009 study of young men. An earlier study of young women found that using caffeine before exercise can cut post-workout pain by nearly 50 percent. The caffeine in coffee may help by blocking the activity of a chemical called adenosine that activates pain receptors in cells."

This article from beliefnet just makes my day! It encourages me in my quest to lose weight. I have been working out in my elliptical machine for 10 weeks now and so far I lost 8 lbs. It's not that much but I am getting there. It's not easy, too. Every day I would tell hubby that it's truly getting harder for me to work out an hour a day. All the pains and aches afterwards, ugh! He would always say: "You can do it." With his encouragement and the article above, I believe I can do it! Have a good one all!

meet my Kitty Kate...

That's my little girl in her Halloween costume. She was so happy with her get-up for trick or treat especially when she knew that she will go with her cousins. Yeah, my sister-in-law invited us for dinner and for trick or treat fun in their neighborhood. The bug was so excited that she kept bugging me the whole day about it.

I truly hope that she will have fun later for Halloween are for kids, as hubby and I say. May all of you have a wonderful one, too. Enjoy and please, be safe...

hard boiled eggs anyone?

I have found myself eating hard boiled egg during lunch time. Haha, I feel like a Filipino celebrity on crash diet, you think? There is this one Filipino artist whose diet is made of hard boiled egg and boiled banana plantain; and it really works magic on her. So I decided to go for hard boiled eggs for now. I hope it will work for me, too.
I also learned from the net that a hard boiled egg is actually one of the healthiest snacks. Isn't that neat? That means I am heading on the right direction, you would say! Well, here are some nutrition facts about hard boiled egg:

what "big girl" means for my little girl

Hello!

Hubby and I think that it's now time that my four year old girl graduates her car seat. Yes, she is still in her car seat. We have been looking for a reliable and an inexpensive car booster the past few weeks. Unfortunately, the one that we like most is out of stock for the moment. My little girl is so excited to have a booster because for her, it means that she is now a big girl. You know what big girl means to her? It means that she can ride a princess car and that she is entitled to have one for Christmas. :) Hmmm, what do you think? We will see... But for now, we are hoping that we can get her a car booster pretty soon. Have a good one all!

just a relaxing night...

zwani.com myspace graphic comments

It's just another relaxing night for us here in San Antonio. After our filling dinner of pork rib soup and vegetables, we are just couch potatoes while enjoying our favorite TV shows. Right now, So You Think You Can Dance is on and I am also trying to do this post. You know, multi-tasking, LOL!

I am so thankful to God for this wonderful night and for endowing us another day. I always pray for protection for my family here and in the Philippines. Speaking of prayer for protection, here's one that I found in the net that I would like to share with you. I hope you will like it and I am praying that God will always protect us from danger and harm. Have a good one all!

Prayer for Protection

O Lord, grant that this night we may sleep in peace. And that in the morning our awakening may also be in peace. May our daytime be cloaked in your peace.

Protect us and inspire us to think and act only out of love.

Keep far from us all evil; may our paths be free from all obstacles from when we go out until we return home.

your exquisite lingerie

When we were at the Filipino Express, a Filipino restaurant here in San Antonio, I noticed an attractive petite lady wearing sexy mini skirts. You really can’t help but admire her for she really looks good in her outfit. All eyes in the eating placing were on her, I tell you. The skirt that she was wearing just showed off her nicely shaped legs. She was a real stunner!

If only I also have those great legs like that lady in the Filipino restaurant, I would wear miniskirts everyday especially if they are from flirtylingerie.com. As they say, if you have it why not flaunt it? Then, I would also buy a lot of sexy lingerie from that website. They have a wide selection to choose from and all of which are just so beautiful, exquisite and stylish that I am sure you can find some which will suit you perfectly. I am sure it will warm your winter nights, you think? Have a good one all!

kid's fun weekend

Glitter Graphics

Tomorrow is going to be kid's day for my little girl and her cousins. My sister-in-law with her two kids will fetch us here and bring all three to a certain place for playtime. As to where, that I still don't know. Yet, it will be great for kids to see each other again and have fun. My little girl is so excited already that she can't help but always talks about it the whole afternoon today. I just hope that she will be able to sleep good tonight so she will be up and bright for her fun day tomorrow.

What about you, guys? What's the plan for this weekend? I hope all of us will have a fun and wonderful weekend. Just be safe, please?

Kate's Love Story

Here's one more video of my girl singing one of her favorite Taylor Swift's songs, Love Story. As you know that I uploaded a video of her singing, You Belong With Me on my other blogsite. I don't know but she likes Taylor Swift. She always gets excited every time she sees a picture of this teen country singer in the store or anywhere. I hope you find it fun and cute. Enjoy!

She really knows a lot of songs and I promise I will start to record her singing so I can share them with you. Have a good one all!

raising patient kids

I found a good read from my favorite site. It is about how kids learn one family value which is patience. I thought that it is important to instill this virtue while they are still young. But how? That is the big question. It is said that developing patience takes time. It is the ability to endure a difficult situation without complaining. So, here’s one tip to raise a patient child.

MAKE A WISH LIST

When your child has a bad case of the “gimmes” and demands a toy right away, acknowledge the wish (“You wish you could have that toy right now”). Have your child add it to a “wish list” of presents he or she might receive at the next birthday or gift-giving holiday. The simple act of writing down (or drawing or cutting out a magazine picture of the present) gives your child control and increases patience.

Isn’t that helpful especially to us as parents? We also have to always tell them that some things are worth waiting for. To add, this not only applies to children but to us as well, too. Have a good one all!
