on Lady Gaga's bad romance

My little girl and I love this song so much. We just can't help but sing and dance every time we hear it in our car's XM radio. I find it funny when my girl will sing the intro of this song - "Rah-rah-ah-ah-ah/Roma-roma-mah/Gaga-ooh-la-la" Every time she does that, I can't help by giggle.

The title of the song is Bad Romance by the pop singer Lady Gaga. This song is the first single of her second album, The Fame Monster. I was really trying to look forward her being the guest of Ellen DeGeneres Show and I missed it! Bummer! Thanks to youtube, I was able to watch her appearance and her performance on that show. I just love the beat of all her songs. It makes you dance and leaves you singing along with it. She might be weird but she is really amazing.

thanks for provision

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Let's count our blessings and be thankful to Him for all the gifts that He has endowed to us everyday. Here's a prayer I found in the web that I would like to share with you to thank Him for all the blessings. I hope you like it and I wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration. Enjoy and be safe!

Almighty and gracious Father,

We give you thanks for the fruits of the earth in their season

and for the labors of those who harvest them.

Make us, we beseech thee,

faithful stewards of thy great bounty,

for the provision of our necessities and the relief of all who are in need,

to the glory of thy Name;

through Jesus Christ our Lord,

who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Spirit,

one God, now and for ever. Amen.

the color purple

Do you love purple? I do especially that it's the color of my birthstone, Amethyst. Hmmm, come to think of it I am not sure if I have a piece of clothing where the color is purple. Though I like this color but I am not sure as to wearing it.

Anyways, here's what I found from Glamour in my web surfing as to the dos and don'ts of wearing purple. As we know that this luxe shade is the color of royalty; but be careful, please or you'll look more Barney than a baroness.

Do

Jeans paired with a silky purple blouse? Slightly Prince, very chic.

Fun and surprisingly wearable: a purple coat. Love the retro shape!

These ladies know: Hot-colored boots or booties + neutral everything else = a Do.

Gorgeous girl, gorgeous dress, such a gorgeous Do.

Don’t

Yes, we love the bold color, but hat-to-toe purple? That’s a little much.

The lilac slasher suit? Borderline for Lady Gaga; absolute Don’t for everyone else!

Clearly these two are working a look—and that’s a Do. But shag-ruggy coats? Don’t.

bug and preschool

As you know that we didn't put my 4 year old girl to Preschool due to health issues. What hubby and I to make up for this is buy her Preschool materials in the store, and we will do all the works here at home. I can really feel that my little girl is so excited to go to school especially that she's seeing her 5 year old cousin goes to school everyday. She's always telling me that she would like to play with other kids and would like to ride a school bus. It kind of sadden me when she's talking like this but I know that the decision not to put her to preschool is for her own good.

So every morning, you can always hear my bug saying: "Mommy, let's do my school!" And she is really at it and doing better by the day. I am amazed by the fact that she can crayon well now, in fact better that her 5 year old cousin. She is also doing better with her writing alphabets and with often practice, she will perfect her writing skill in no time. I am really glad for this preschool materials that hubby bought for it makes mine and my little girl's day a fun learning experience. I am just hoping and praying for God to give me more patience because I really need it especially with my bug who is in the curious stage right now and always asking, "why?" on everything. You think, she's a smarty pants? Her father believes that she is! Have a good one all!

trouble sleeping?

Insomniac like me? Try this home remedy that I have learned from my web surfing. Surprisingly, it really works. When you can’t sleep, concentrate on extending your exhales. Inhale for a count of four, and exhale for a count of eight. It is said that in yoga, exhales are associated with release and detoxification. By taking such long exhales, you help yourself relax and it makes it much easier to let go of all the thoughts that are swirling around in your head, keeping you up. If that count it too long for you, try inhaling for three and exhaling for six. I use this technique when I wake up in the middle of the night, and it only takes a few rounds before I am drifting back off.

to have an awesome life!

Good morning everyone! How was your morning so far? I hope you wake up happy and gay. It is very important to be awake each morning potentially inspired, centered, with a sense that many options and opportunities stretch before you. How to do this is sometimes difficult especially in the economy, right?

However, you just think that: You’re alive. That in itself is a reason to rejoice each moment. You may have your rough days and your sad days, but as long as you are breathing you can access awe. When you get out of bed in the morning and put your feet on the floor, give thanks that you are part of a great adventure, an ever-expanding journey. Have a good one all!

eating too much...

We had a hearty dinner tonight. For our Friday night out, we went to Buffalo Wings Bar and Grill since we are craving for hot wings tonight. My, my, my, their wings are just so spicy hot! Yummy-o! I was also craving for some popcorn shrimps and what a treat it has been for me since they also have that in their menu. Geez, it has been three nights in a row that I have broken my diet. My bad! That's why for this week, I didn't lose a tad even doing ellipticals an hour a day. Oh well! I promise I will behave next week, you think?

coffee reduces workout pain?

"Consuming caffeinated coffee an hour before vigorous exercise may help prevent pain while you're working out, suggests a 2009 study of young men. An earlier study of young women found that using caffeine before exercise can cut post-workout pain by nearly 50 percent. The caffeine in coffee may help by blocking the activity of a chemical called adenosine that activates pain receptors in cells."

This article from beliefnet just makes my day! It encourages me in my quest to lose weight. I have been working out in my elliptical machine for 10 weeks now and so far I lost 8 lbs. It's not that much but I am getting there. It's not easy, too. Every day I would tell hubby that it's truly getting harder for me to work out an hour a day. All the pains and aches afterwards, ugh! He would always say: "You can do it." With his encouragement and the article above, I believe I can do it! Have a good one all!
