Kate's Already Gone

My little girl has been bugging me for days now that she wants to sing again. So, this morning I finally gave in. She has been into Kelly Clarkson's Already Gone song these days. When you hear her sing along with this song from the XM radio in our car, hubby and I just can't help but giggle. Here's how our recording session for this morning goes:

I know that it's far from perfect, but for a four year old girl? Hmmm, what do you think judges?

on Lovers and Dreams

Yay, I am finally done with this book! I picked this up when we went to Barnes and Nobles last weekend and once I started with it, I just can't put it down. I just had to devour the entire book so to speak. I find this a great read since it truly entertained me. I can't help but giggle and shed some tears now and then. Good grief! Besides, it has three romantic stories in one book for $17.00. Not bad, right?

Lovers and Dreamers is a book of dream trilogy series - Daring to Dream, Holding the Dream and Finding the Dream. Here's a peek of it!

Daring to Dream Margo Sullivan had everything a young woman could ask for. But while growing up along the rocky cliffs of Monterey, she couldn't help but dream of bigger things. The daughter of the Templeton's stern Irish housekeeper, Margo had been treated like a member of the family. Deep down, she knew that money could not buy the one thing she craved most-her mother's acceptance. Maybe things would be different if she could be sweet like Laura-or had Kate's shrew head for business. But all Margo knew how to do was be Margo, and that meant doing things her own way-no matter what the consequences...

Holding the Dream Her childhood had been a lie. Her father had been a thief. Her mind struggled to absorb these facts, to analyze, to accept. Kate Powell had been orphaned at an early age, when she, essentially, watched her parents die. Her family had been taken away, but she had been given another. The distant kinship didn't matter to Thomas and Susan Templeton. They had taken her in, raised her as their own, given her a home and love. And now, twenty years later, she has learned the truth from a colleague of her father, a man who did not realize that the Templetons had gone to great lengths to protect the child from knowledge that would hurt and shame her.

Finding the Dream Laura Templeton found out the hard way that nothing in life is guaranteed. The daughter of a wealthy hotelier, she had always known comfort, privilege, and security. But by the age of thirty, her storybook marriage had been destroyed by her husband's infidelity. Laura's divorce left her both emotionally and financially devastated-but determined to rebuild her life without the help of the Templeton fortune...

it's popsicle time!

Our daughter loves her evening Popsicle with her daddy. Every night sometime after dinner, they will go to the freezer and share popsicles together. As you would guess, they both like the same flavor which is grape. Her daddy always will say it’s his turn for grape but you know she always wins. Sometimes she will give in and let her daddy have grape but it’s not that often. It is so cool that they can share this moment every evening together. Our daughter needs her time with her daddy; and when dad works all day, it makes that time even more important. It is always our hope our daughter will always share these moments even as she gets older. I know these times are very important for her as they are always that important to us.

one of my favorite Celine Dion's songs of all time

Yes, that’s one of my all time favorite songs of Celine Dion. I just can’t help but get moved everytime I hear this song. It always remind me of the Philippines since this song was really a big hit then. I especially like this arrangement featuring Taro Hakase doing the violin. It is just so amazing. I wonder where we can find the violin sheet music of this song? I also love the piano sheet music arrangement of this song. Who wouldn’t, right? It is just simply beautiful!

Listening to this song, makes me wonder where we can find free sheet music in both piano and violin so I can get them all together for my little girl. Who know she will be interested in one of the mentioned musical instruments in the future. It would be cool for her to play some Christmas Sheet Music and Carols or any songs on piano or violin one of these days. Hmmm, that is one of the things to watch out for with my little girl since we can really see that she is interested in music. But for now, let me replay my To Love You More again. Have a good one all!

early bird on a Tuesday

We were up so early today for we have to go to Texas Dept. of Transportation Licensing Office to get myself a state identification card. Geez, the traffic was so bad this morning. I can't help but got dizzy with all the stopping every second. The constant stopping would always provoke my motion sickness. Good thing that when we got to the office, there wasn't a long line. It just probably took me 10 minutes there and I was done! Now, I just have to wait around 2 to 6 weeks in the mail for my state ID. I hope and pray that it will be here before my Immigration Interview for my citizenship which is about 5 weeks from now. Crossing my fingers here... Have a wonderful Tuesday, guys!

well-paved roads here in the US

One glaring thing that I noticed when I got here in the US are the well-paved roads, and they are all wide, too. I was like, "Oh, wow!" Time and again, you can always see men with their big equipment (which I am sure have high strength fasteners for highway, and all its anchor bolts and more industrial bolts that goes with it) repairing and constructing highways.

I just can't help but compare this to my native land which is the Philippines. Not only that not all roads are well-paved but they are also very narrow especially those in remote places. I mean I really don't mind the bouncy ride (because I still think it is fun.), it's just the dust that I can't take. I can just ask, how come the US has been able to pave their roads when it is about a hundred times bigger than the Philippines? (sigh) I truly hope and pray that transportation and infrastructure will get better in the Philippines for though how bad most of the roads there, I still miss and love my birthplace. Have a good one all!

thanks to HIM and to hubbypie...

Yes, it's my 5th Wedding Anniversary and I can't believe how time flies by so fast! I still can't believe that God has given me this perfect person to be my husband. There are times that I can't help to ask: "Do I really deserve him?" I don't know how to answer that but since I have been married to this wonderful man for five years now (and hopefully for a hundred years more), I can just say - THANK YOU! Thank you, Lord for giving me this perfect mate, partner, best friend, confidant all rolled into "HUSBAND." And thank you, hubby pie for everything and for being the perfect YOU. Lovey dovey you lots!

it's dress up time!

bug as "Sleeping Beauty"

as "Cinderella" this time

and as "Snow White"

The other day, my little bug and I played dress up as princesses. Actually, my little girl only. I was only the choreographer, LOL. A stage mother, am I? She has this princess treasure chest full of Princesses' outfits and accessories as one of her Christmas gifts.

Oh, how she loves that treasure chest. It feels like a real treasure to her, that for sure. She already know what accessory or sandals should go with the outfit. She can't help but always looked at herself in the mirror every time we changed costumes. She would always say, "Oh, Mommy look! It is real pretty!" She loves the dress up play even the material of the cloth makes her itch, hehehe. She had fun and so does her mom that I can't help to take pictures. Hubby was tickled when he saw the pictures. We are really happy that she likes her treasure chest. I bet, we will have a lot more of dress up playing in the future.

traffic lawyer as a new career?

As my husband looks for a new career, I wonder if being a traffic lawyer is an idea. Since we moved to San Antonio, we have noticed that there are a lot more car accidents here than in Colorado. People here must have really high insurance rates because I bet there is a lot of accident injury claim in this city. With all the speeding around here, I bet fighting speeding fines is big business. I hope we will adjust to the driving here. Always having to take off so fast from stops and stopping in traffic suddenly makes me wonder if and we will be in an accident injury claim (God forbids!) here in San Antonio.

I know hubby is always safe with his driving, but it’s the others around here I worry about. With all our speeding here now so we can go with the flow of traffic, I wonder when we will be getting off speeding fines by hiring a lawyer. This is why we need to become lawyers so we don’t have to pay for one and with the big business of injury claim You never know, but it might be an idea for one of future careers. here we can profit from it.
