a little hike on a perfect tuesday!

My girl and I just got back from our short walk in the neighborhood. It was just so perfect today. The sunset casts a golden glow on the swaying trees and fresh green grass. If only I have worn my sneakers and we could have taken a longer walk. Yet, it feels so good after our little hike today, and I know that bug had fun, too. I hope we could do it again and again for the rest of the spring, summer and fall.

That's my little girl in one of her playful poses from our Mother's Day trek yesterday. We went out for a short road trip to Silverthorne and Dillon.







Hubby brought us to the Outlet Store in Silverthorne and there, we just checked out some of our favorite shops there. I was kind of apprehensive about the weather yesterday since it was gloomy here in Denver, but up there it was just so gorgeous!








It was so good to be back in one of our favorite restaurants there. Pug Ryan's has the most delicious prime rib in Colorado, I should say. What is cool about this restaurant/bar is that they also brew their own beer.






All in all, we all had a great time with my special day! It was FUN and thanks to hubbypie for making it all happened. YOU'RE THE BEST!

Sunrise in Daytona Beach

You are experiencing sunrise in the wee hours of the morning at Daytona Beach, Florida. This picture of my hubby and my bug was taken during our road trip to Orlando, Florida last year. Daytona is about two hours from Orlando, so we really had to be on our way there at 6:00 AM to catch the sunrise.

When we got there, the effort put in was all worth it! It was just so magnificent! I was like, this is really it! The beach that I only had a glimpse on some movies and on TV shows was all there revealed in front of me. It was truly a dream come true for me. I just wish we had stayed there for at least one night because I really love beaches! Hubby said that maybe next time when we are able to visit Florida again by God’s grace, he would make sure that we will stay in Daytona Beach for at least two days.

Yet, I was still thankful to hubby that I was able to see the place for real; and I was also grateful to God to experience one blessing – beautiful sunrise at Daytona Beach. Have a wonderful Friday all!

Spring and summer are definitely here, guys! It’s time to put all the winter and heavy outfits away and take the light and breezy clothes out from the closet. Or is it time to scour stores and malls to shop for trendy summer wear? Like the other day, my friends invited me to go with them to Colorado Mills Mall for some summer stuffs shopping spree.

Though I really want to go with them, I had to decline the invitation because Kate is still recuperating from her sickness. My little girl really needs new stuffs – clothes, shoes and all the essentials since she outgrow some of her things from last year. I also need new shirts and shorts for me and for hubby.

Have you heard of the song Viva La Vida by Coldplay? I have been loving it! It has been released May of last year and it really made a big impression on me the first time I heard the song. Aside from the title per se, I also like the string section’s upbeat riff of the song. just do it!

I know, I know that I have to get on with my driving BUT ummm… I am just scared! When hubby said to me this morning: “Come on, you will bring me and Kate to lunch!” I was like, are you kidding, right? It has been a while since my last driving lessons. I believe it was last summer so I was so apprehensive to do it. But I actually did it! YAY that was my first time to drive to somewhere – KFC to be exact which is about ten minutes away from our home, harharhar.

As we were having our lunch, hubby said that I have to bring him to a car part store because he has to buy some parts for a friend’s car. I said to him that I know that I have to learn how to drive but I also know my capabilities. Right now, I am still not comfortable in the steering wheel and that I shouldn’t be out in a busy road yet. NOT JUST YET! I still need a lot of practice in an empty street or vacant parking lot and not in a busy street. He gave in, hehehe. But he let me fill gas on our little car by myself which I did with his guidance.

Later, when Kate wakes up from her nap, we will go for more driving lessons for me. I really have to be at it especially that my driving permit expires on July. I just have to conquer my fears of driving and to do this is to be on the wheel constantly. That being said and with the guidance from The ONE above, I know I CAN DO IT!
