the bible verse of my heart...

"For God so loved the world,
that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him should not perish,
but have everlasting life."

This is the first verse from the Holy Bible that I memorized when I was about three years old. My cousin who is like an elder sister to me was the one who taught that beautiful verse to me. I can still remember that vividly. She also taught me and some cousins a lot of bible songs. She was still in college that time. My older brother and I used to tag along with her going to Sunday school then. Now, she has been teaching for years in a public school in my hometown back in the Philippines.
I can say that I have memorized the above verse by heart because until now I can say it in a heart beat. Thanks to my cousin who instilled this in my heart and mind. How about you? Can you share a verse from the bible that you know by heart? Please?

  1. Psalm 23!!! But I'm rusty, so I'll Copy-Paste it hahaha. Reciting this always calms me down, anywhere! This represents my faith in Him and His love for me:

The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

  2. Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might, put on the whole gospel of armour that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Ephesians 6:10-11. These verses have been my favorite verses for 30 years.
