melting fats away

As I find myself and my husband gaining more and more weight as we get older, we have turned to any option to keep our waist line in check. Exercising is one thing we have tried, but my husband has less time for that than I do because he works very hard all day. In my case my daughter keeps me busy enough that when it comes time to exercise I don’t have that much time.

I’ve been looking into other options and really would like to know what the best diet pills out there are. I’ve done a bit of research and found that Apidexin review claims you can lose up to 400% more weight by using their "clinically proven product. What a great idea! I think that with an exercise schedule and eating right and using Apidexin that I may have just found the best diet pill out there. I’m looking forward to watching my fats melt away.

beautiful big-horned sheep

The picture below is just one of the several creatures you can see in Mount Evans, Colorado. We were so lucky that a herd of big-horned sheep crossed the road right in front of us when we went up there about three years ago. They are really amazing creatures. I was so lucky to have a picture of one. Here it goes!

Bighorns are extraordinary rock climbers. Their agility allows them to bounce up steep, rugged rock croppings and craggy cliffs. In lambing season, ewes retreat to secluded canyons or gullies that are safe from predators and free of competition from other foragers. After a gestation period of about six months, a ewe gives birth to a single lamb. By the end of the first day, the sure-footed lamb can climb nearly as well as its mother.

Bighorns are social animals; yet tend to segregate outside of mating season, when the rams head off in a bachelor band leaving the ewes and lambs in nursery bands. During mating season, November and December, rams posture for dominance. As rams batter at one another, the crack of their massive head clashing can be heard more than a mile away. The stocky rams reach speeds as high as 30 mph as they charge one another during these jousts.

all about life insurance

One of the things in life that you need to have but don’t really want to talk about is life insurance. What if something ever happened to your spouse and there were no options and a sudden need for cash to take care of all the bills and obligations? Life insurance can be what is needed to carry you through all the hard times that could follow.

You would need to find a good and reputable company like Advantage Term Life to carry insurance through that could offer the options to fit your needs. Term or full life is both good options. Term insurance being one payment in case of an event is a cheaper choice. The better plan in my option would be the whole life because if you don’t need to use the life insurance for a death in the family it can be used for retirement and still have a death benefit if the unthinkable would ever happen.

I’m glad my hubby carries life insurance. If something were to happen (God forbids!), we have to really think about our baby girl and her future. Thank goodness he had it from a long time ago because our plan will also help with our retirement years and when we pass on our daughter would have the resources needed to take care of us without suffering the financial strain in the process. During that time, as unpleasant as it may be, you shouldn’t have the financial worry that life insurance can help you avoid.

My Ain't No Sunshine

I don’t know but this song just keeps playing in my head. It’s Kris Allen’s Ain’t No Sunshine version on American Idol. I can’t shake it off my head! It just goes to show that he truly is unforgettable especially in this performance. I am a big fan of Adam Lambert but I also like Kris Allen, that when the latter won AI, it was fine with me. BUT… No, I don’t want to dwell with buts. Kris Allen won and everybody should just accept it. I will just keep playing this song in my head so I would say that he deserved the AI title.

Have a wonderful weekend, guys

the bon jovi fan in me

Jon Bon Jovi is just one of a number of notable residents who are from Monmouth County, New Jersey. We all know that he is a well-known American singer, song writer and musician in the whole world. Don’t you think that living in this paradise of boating and fishing contributed to his success in the music industry? I believe in a way it does, right?

It makes me wonder if this renowned world icon has used the expertise of Bruce Germinsky Realtor to secure his Jersey Shore Real Estate. It must be an ultimate joy to own a one of the waterfront homes in Monmouth County. Can you imagine yourself living in a house, where you can view the waterways which include several rivers and bays that flow into New York Harbor and the Atlantic Ocean?

Pure heaven, it must be! It will surely generate lots of creativity and brilliant ideas within you. That is why it’s no wonder that Bon Jovi is very good at his craft and is in his current status as a world icon. This post truly speaks that I am a big fan of Jon Bon Jovi, you think?

What a beautiful Friday!

 Image via: www.profile-graphics.net

Good morning all! It’s another beautiful windy day here in the Rockies! My little bug is getting darker by the day because she always likes to play in the backyard. She’s been bugging me to be in the pool since yesterday but it too windy to be in the pool. Maybe, we will just wait for a bit. I am sure the perfect time for dipping in the pool is getting nearer.

For now, my little girl has to be contented with playing with her soccer ball in the backyard and riding her bikes in the trails in the neighborhood. She really is getting very good at pedaling her bikes. Hopefully, she can get to ride her big girl bike without the support wheels before summer ends. We will see.

How about you, guys? How’s your Friday so far? Do you also have a beautiful weather? I hope so and I wish you all a wonderful TGIF. YAY, weekend is here again!

experience the desert and the beach in one setting

The only desert experience I had was when we went to the Skywalk Bridge of Grand Canyon, Arizona about two years ago. The drive to that place was so unbelievable. The road was still unpaved that time and we were cruising in the middle of a barren land with some giant cacti here and there. It was very hot that time, too if I remember about 109 degrees Centigrade.

I believe that it is still hotter to live in the Arabian Peninsula specifically Dubai. However, I told hubby that if given the chance I still wish to visit that Arabian Desert country and know its culture; and stay at Burj Al Arab Hotel. Or if not at that hotel, I would also love to stay at Jumeirah Beach Hotel since I love the beach. Or how about staying in Le Meridien Mina Seyahi Beach Dubai? Take note we do have a lot of choices of luxurious hotels to stay in Dubai.

It would be like hitting two birds in one stone – the desert and the beach; or the culture and the fun! That’s just awesome, right? Oh, I really wish, I wish more and I wish LOTS. Hopefully, they all come true with God’s blessings.

fun in the mountain

That is Snake River in Keystone, Colorado. As what I have heard that there is always a controversy about water usage on this river. Some ski resorts wants to use the water to make snow during ski season, and the environmentalist are against it. Hmmm, interesting right?

Well, we went there yesterday to goof around. My friends, Angie and Sharon picked me and bug here at home, and we spent the day in the Rocky Mountains. We actually went to visit Angie's brother in Breckenridge, then we went to Keystone for a drive. I really miss that part of Colorado. Just absolutely beautiful especially with all the greenery. The day's highlight was when we went to Silverthorne's Factory Outlets.

Kate and I really had a wonderful time with my girlfriends. Thanks, girls for letting us tagged along with you. We truly appreciate it. Anyways, here are some more pictures from that fun day.

travel dreams in New Zealand

We have always heard that the highest quality of life and the happiest people are from New Zealand. I know my husband has always been interested in visiting New Zealand. There are so many outdoor activities for anyone and New Zealand is a truly beautiful place.

On the internet, we found Auckland NZ hotels a really good option for us. There are many sites to see there and if we can get a good look at Auckland NZ hotels, maybe we can find the perfect fit for our travel there someday. Hubby has always been interested in New Zealand because it has the mountains and the sea all in one place. Sounds like the perfect paradise to me. I wonder if maybe we would be able to go before our daughter starts school. It will become harder to travel after that.

We have seen some cool shows on TV about New Zealand with all the hang gliding and mountain climbing. I think that would be a bit much but riding bicycles and scuba diving might be more our style. Hopefully if we get to go, our Auckland NZ hotels can hook us up with the right people for a perfect vacation experience.

our Memorial Day trip to Cheyenne, Wyoming

What a wonderful time we had yesterday in Wyoming! We drove two hours and spent Memorial Day with the Montoya Family (Dave, Tess and Ashley) in Cheyenne. We visited Wyoming State Capitol which stands at its grandeur. It didn’t fail to amaze me looking at its architecture and all the intricate details. It is just so awesome! It boasts marble floors, fine woodwork, stained glass, historic photographs and a wildlife display.

We also experienced Western shopping at The Wrangler. We tried lots of cowboy hats and jackets there. It was so funny. We got my girl a horse stick there which is so cool since we have been trying to find this toy for years now.

Off we went to Cheyenne Depot and bought some souvenirs. I just can’t help but took a lot of pictures of this National Historic Landmark. I just can’t help but get amazed with the structural design of the building. We planned on going to the place where all the windmills are but unfortunately, it was raining so hard and we ran out of time, too. So, we decided to just go home earlier.

All in all, we had a great time there! The only daunting thing that happened was when I dropped Tess’ digital camera on the hard floor. Geez, it felt like my heart took a deep plunge with the camera, too. I really felt bad about it up to now. I hope it still work even with all the scratches from the hard drop. Well, Tess you know where to reach me just in case. Good thing, hubby didn’t freak out and told my girlfriend the same thing I told her. Thanks, hubbypie! And thanks to the Montoya family for spending Memorial Day with us. You sure made our holiday more memorable and more FUN!

visiting the outback

We have always been interested in visiting Australia and had even talked about having our belated honeymoon there. Thinking about all this, we decided to at least do some research about some really nice places to visit there. One of the places my husband had mentioned one day was to visit Tasmania, near Hobart, Australia. What we need now is a company to help us with our accommodations.

Well, I began to research all this so that when hubby decides that it is finally time to take our honeymoon, I can have all the details planned ahead. Hobart CBD hotels who not only can make reservations on short notice but they also know all the local attractions; and the best accommodations there is like that of Launceston budget accommodation for us to enjoy while we are there. I am nervous about the stories we hear about the sharks in the waters there but am looking forward to the warm weather and beaches if we do finally get to go there.

I am glad I did the research for I also found good deals at Devonport Tasmania hotels and am looking forward to Australia being one of our many destinations in our future world trips. I know hubby likes to travel, and so do I. Even if this is not our honeymoon destination, I would still like to enjoy what Australia has to offer.

Dax and Nenen, congratulations!

Hazel (we call her Nenen, by the way.), my cousin who is now in Illinois just gives me the good news now that she is PREGNANT! Woohoo! That is so cool! She has been working as an occupational therapist here in the USA since 2007. She got married with her long time boyfriend in the Philippines last October, 2008. My husband and I were supposed to be principal sponsors and my little bug, one of the flower girls. Unfortunately, we were not able to attend the grand wedding last year.

Anyways, her husband just got here in the US last April; and after a month, they are pregnant! Wow! My husband was like: “Already?” I can’t help but get excited for the new parents-to-be and wish them all the best. To Dax and Nenen, CONGRATULATIONS! May God bless you both on your pregnancy. Way to go, guys!

a need for health care insurance

Who in the world doesn’t need a health care insurance especially here in the United States? In actual fact, it is everybody’s primary concern and that millions of Americans would wish to save on medical insurance especially in today’s economy. Like everybody else, that is also one of our essential needs especially in our case with my little girl. We just can’t go one single day without a reliable health care plan for my little girl.

As you may have known, my girl has some health issues due to premature birth. She has been followed carefully by her specialists. In fact, she is due for appointments with her pulmonologist and endocrinologist pretty soon. We also have to set an appointment with a food therapist for her in Children’s Hospital as recommended by her pediatrician. That is why medical insurance is an utmost need for us especially for my special girl. Indeed, she is a special girl!

Desert View Watchtower in Grand Canyon

Desert View Watchtower is one of the points where you can view the eastern portions of the Grand Canyon. It is a 70-foot high stone building located on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon in Arizona. It has been designated as National Historic Landmark in 1987 for it possesses national significance in commemorating the history of the Unites States of America.

The pictures above are just two of the million snap shots I took when we went to Grand Canyon about two years ago. The views from the watchtower are just so endless and breath-taking like the second image. Until now, I still can’t believe that I have been to that amazing wonder of the world. The experience was totally unbelievable! Thanks to Him for this wonder and for the opportunity He had given me so I can experience Grand Canyon.

it's beauty salon time!

It has been quite a while since the last time I was in a beauty salon. I believe it’s about time that I will have my hair and nails done in my favorite place in Colorado Mills Mall. There is this one place there where all the beauty consultants in their crisp-looking salon uniforms, are so adept and efficient in their job. I tell you, you will really be satisfied when they do their work on you. It’s truly magical!

One of these days, I would like to go there again and experience first class beauty makeover. You know pamper myself with a relaxing manicure and pedicure spa session and all its spa accessories. It is just so heavenly especially when the person attending to you in beauty therapy uniforms will massage your feet. It is pure bliss! I would like to experience the feeling again and hopefully soon.

in every ending comes the beginning...

We have been bombarded with all the finales of most of our favorite TV shows since last week that hubby and I are like: “Whoooaaahhh!” From Hell’s Kitchen to CSI, to Amazing Race, to Survivor, to NCIS; and now, Dancing With The Stars and American Idol - it feels like a non-stop outpouring of LOVE from all the mentioned shows. And what finales we all had!

It is also kind of sad that the shows end for the season. However, as they say that in every ending comes the beginning. Yes, I am so excited for one of my favorite shows, So You Think You Can Dance will have its premier next week. Yay!!! Well, whether it’s the ending or beginning, finale or premier – LIFE GOES ON…

car rental for your Europe tour

Who hasn’t dream of a European tour? I know most of us have that wish in our life. It might seem impossible but deep in our hearts, we can find that yearning. Just like everybody else, hubby and I have this wish to see Holland and its neighboring countries like Spain, Italy and France through car rental. Yes, what a better way to see these countries except car hire Spain, right? This would be awesome for me and hubby since we do love road trips; and to traverse from one country to another with car hire Spain will also be a dream come true for us. However, this European tour dream will remain a dream for now. Still, I can’t help to wish for the best and that this dream will be realized soon, with God’s blessings.

Grand Canyon's Skywalk Glass Bridge

You cannot say that you have been to Grand Canyon unless you have been to the Skywalk Glass Bridge. It is a floating bridge made of steel and glass located at the West Rim of the Grand Canyon. The floors made of glass will enable you to look straight into the natural crevasse, so deep you can't really see the bottom. If you are afraid of heights like me, don't worry for there are a number of first responders on standby to help you.

My experience when we went there two years ago was totally exhilarating. I was walking through the glass floors funny because it felt like with every step I made, I was falling to the depths. By the way, they let you wear a plastic cover thing over your shoes so you won't scratch the glass floors. They won't allow cameras and phones in the bridge that if you want a picture, you have to use their own photo service like what we have below.

Here are more information about the Skywalk Glass Bridge:

  • Its attractions includes a cowboy town, an Indian village, helicopter tours and Hummer rides through the outback.
  • It is about as heavy as four Boeing 757 jets stacked on top of each other, which equals to 1.07 million lbs. The horse-shoe shaped bridge extends about 70 feet over the rim and about 4,000 feet over the canyon floor. It is designed to withstand 100 mph winds and has shock absorbers to keep the walkway from vibrating as people walk through.
  • The road to the Indian Reservation is about 25 miles of unpaved maintained road. Some said that the tour bus is a much better option than driving your own vehicle.
  • The fees might be high but if you are going to see the Grand Canyon, you should include Skywalk in your list of sights to see. After all, this is one of a kind glass bridge and not to be missed!

We are starting our own web site and are looking to get some good traffic going. There are some great companies that for a reasonable price can help you with search engine optimisation. If we are to get someone to notice our site, it is a good idea to have a company that really knows how to attract the traffic we need to make our site successful.

I can't wait for AI tomorrow!

This video has been playing in my mind over and over again that I believe I am going nuts. That is Kris Allen of American Idol performing Kanye West’s Heartless. I agree when Randy Jackson, one of the judges said that he sang this piece better than the original singer. Kris was truly awesome on this song but I also like his version of Apologize. I don’t know why the judges didn’t like it but I believe America loved it since they voted for Kris Allen. Gosh, I just can’t wait for AI tomorrow! I am counting the hours here… and it is starting right now!

our Sunday's mini adventure

We just got back from our little road trip from up the mountains. Actually, we did some weeding in the front yard of our house in Kremmling. Thank goodness, there’s not much weeds yet. Gosh, it was so hot up there. I only worked for about an hour and then I got dizzy with the heat, so me and my little girl just stayed inside the car watching movies. Poor hubby, he did all the work and his two girls always ended as his cheering squad.

Anyway, here are some pictures to share with you on our little adventure today.

One of the awesome snow-capped mountains in Summit County.

A magnificent view from the front yard of our house in Kremmling.

My little girl in one of her poses.

Having fun riding her bike at the driveway of our house in the mountain.

I hope you also had a wonderful weekend, guys!
