cruisin' fun!

That's my little girl and her cousin, Michael having fun cruising with the latter's jeep. The blaze of the sun didn't stop them from cruising around my sister-in-law's property. Gee, it was really hot during that day when we went up there last week but the kids just loved it.

We had barbecue there and I also met my sister-in-law's parents-in-law. Did I confuse you? After being there for a couple of hours, we went for a drive on the neighboring towns. We stopped at a pie place in one town and had some refreshments. The pies there are to die for! All in all, we really had a wonderful time that weekend.

dinner date, again?

Hubby has been concocting an idea for me and him to have a Friday night out again. He just called me on the phone saying that my sister-in-law will get the little girl from the house later this afternoon; and she will watch her for the evening. Hmmm, I was like: "Oh really? Where will we go?" He said he is still working on it. Tsk, tsk, tsk...

This is actually our second time going out by ourselves in a matter of 3 weeks. I remember when we were still in Colorado, we both never have this going out for a date because we don't want to leave Kate to the care of someone we don't really know. Here in Texas, it is different since my sister-in-law is always willing to watch my little girl which is really sooo cool. That's why I always love having family near us. Thanks, Becky!

I really can't help but get excited for tonight. I really don't have a clue where we are going but I am sure it's going to be an enjoyable evening with my hubbypie. And I hope you all will have an enjoyable Friday evening, too. Have a good one!

for your antioxidant needs

As my husband and I are getting older, we are always looking for better ways to take care of ourselves and remain healthy. We do our exercise, we have changed our diets and now we are looking for what we might be missing to help us remain healthier and younger during our prime in life. What vitamins and how much seems to be the ongoing debate. During our research, we always hear about antioxidants and how beneficial they are. One of the places to get these antioxidants is in wine because grapes are loaded with them. Here is one big problem. My husband doesn’t drink any thing like that at all. So I’ve done a bit of research and found that there is a company providing the antioxidant needs in a dissolvable pill form. The companies name is Reservatrol.

Found largely in the skins of grapes, the antioxidant in Reservatrol Supplement was used as an oriental medicine to treat diseases of the blood vessels, the heart and liver. I guess we could eat a lot of grapes, but with the new option to get the benefits immediately from Reservatrol Supplements we can be very excited knowing we are making our lives even healthier. They claim you can live a longer healthier life and we would really like to do that for sure.

With waiting to have a child later on in our life, we want to be around for many years to come to see her grow and go through college and maybe some day, grand children. With this new added way to get the antioxidants in our diets we look forward to enjoying all the benefits for years to come. From what we have read on Reservatrol Reviews about this new product, in our opinion, we encourage anyone who is interested to try this product for a long and healthier life.

go away colds!

Hubby has been suffering from sinus infection and cold for weeks now and last night, I just got fed up and told him to go to the doctor early in the morning. He is really a very hard headed person when it comes to going to the doctor. But I truly understand why he hasn’t been able to go to the doctor because our schedule has been so crazy with all the relocation, his new job and all.

This morning however, I am so adamant for him to go to the doctor. I told him that he should have gone to the doctor the moment he got those yucky colds as I had insisted ever since. I also told him that not that he hasn’t done well with taking care of things here at home and at his work; but I told him that if you yourself is feeling up to your best, I am sure that you can handle things better than when you are sick, right? So, now he is at the doctor’s office. I just hope and pray that everything will turn okay and that my man will feel better, with God’s blessings.

lovin' our new home sweet home!

My husband and I are so thankful and glad that things are just falling into its right place here in our new home in San Antonio. The house where we at now is just so wonderful and hubby is also doing well at his work. Well, except that he is still adjusting to the heat and humidity that we are thinking of shopping for lighter clothes especially denim jeans of lighter material for he is developing heat rash on his legs. Poor hubby! He also needs new shirts and I am so glad that Burton clothing line of zappos.com answers to this need. I am pretty sure we can find a lot of lighter clothes which will be perfect for him in this kind of very warm weather.

Our little girl is also doing well health wise here which is truly important and a blessing for us. Thanks to God! In fact, she is gaining a pound in just two weeks. How cool is that! She seems to be happier here for she has two cousins about her age to play with now and then. I like the fact that she has a playroom of her own where all her toys are stored there and not everywhere in the house.

Though we still have a lot to do here in our new home, I could say that we really like it here. We are still adjusting to the fact that there are more bugs here than Colorado but I would always say – just like the Philippines. Yeah, we love our new home sweet home and with God’s blessings, we can settle here for good.

dancing for rain

Good Thursday morning everyone! It is a beautiful morning here in San Antonio. The rain that we had last night was really a huge blessing for us here. That is why we are in the 70's this morning. Isn't that great? Our air conditioning unit is having a much needed reprieve right now.

According to Mr. Weather Forecaster however, we will reach the 100's later but there is also a chance of rain again. Woohoo! Looks like many did the rain dance, you think? We really need a lot of rain here. Hopefully, it will pour again in the afternoon so we can continue to have beautiful morning in the coming days. Have a blessed day all!

7 THINGS ABOUT “ME”

  1. Up to this moment, I still can’t believe that I have a family of my own now and living a dream here in the United States. Despite all the difficulties, life is still good. Thank you, Lord!
  2. I am fondly called “Inday” by my family, relatives and best friends in the Philippines;
  3. My favorite subjects when I was still in school were Math and English. I remember I always get very good grades in these subjects. I hate Calculus though!
  4. When God showered patience to mankind, I must have been unaware when it happened for I don’t have this virtue. Yes, I am that impatient! But when you have a very active toddler, you could say that you really have to hold on to that very thin thread of patience you have.
  5. I used to be a very vengeful person – if somebody messed up with me, be sure I would also messed his/her life back in two fold. But I can clearly say: “Not anymore!” since that one great life learning lesson I had experienced in my life. I will tell you about it next time since it is a long, long story.
  6. Prime rib and rib eye steaks are my favorites. Hence, the weight gain. LOL I also love barbecues and grilled meats. I love sea foods, too especially fish and shrimps. I don’t eat Tilapia and Trout though. I really tried eating those fish but I end up barfing, ewww!
  7. I miss my besties, Rutchie and Rizza. These girls are I consider as my BFF. Here’s something interesting, they celebrate their birthdays at the same date which is August 13. Is that amazing or what? It’s going to be their birthdays this Thursday, yes siree! That is why I am missing them so much more these days. I am wishing them all the best for they deserve only the best.

I hope you consider the above as interesting, LOL. Anyways, I would like to nominate these 7 blogger friends as Kreativ bloggers; and they are:

  1. Nancy of Thoughts and Dreams
  2. Sharon Mae of Sunshine Smile
  3. Bunny of Being Mrs. Hughes
  4. Tisay of Tessie’s Blog
  5. Joy of My Life Before and After
  6. Arlyn of The Flavors of My Life
  7. Alleth of Travelling Across America

Get grooving, girls! Come on and don’t forget to always have fun! Have a good one all!

reliable web hosting there is!

When we were still looking on the web for the best hosting service for our personal website, hubby and I asked the opinion of his brother and sister regarding this. Both of my hubby’s siblings are what we call more knowledgeable in the computer technology than him. My husband gracefully accepted this fact. We were so thankful that they helped us search for the best budget and reliable hosting service there is in the market today.

They recommended to us to check out the website called webhostinggeeks.com. They are referred as dedicated servers in the market today and they also provide you with a lot of information about web hosting which is so important for newbie’s like hubby and I. The website has a lot of important information to offer to everybody who is into the online business or into creating their own personal websites. The reviews, ratings and suggestions are just so significant to those who have no idea about web hosting.

For hubby and me, we felt that this website was a heaven sent to us; and his siblings were angels who directed us to the right hosting path. Our personal website has been up and running; and has been soaring for months now. Through this, I am able to connect to all my family and friends all over the world.

get into the flow of water!

Hubby often has migraines now and then. I, too experience migraine especially before or after my monthly period. Thank God, it's only seldom but when it hit- OUCHY! Big time. When hubby has this condition, I always tell him to drink water. Lots of water!

I had read from an article online to drink water, more water than you think you need. It says that you may be a little dehydrated without realizing it--a state that can often contribute to migraines. Even if you aren't, drinking plenty of water will put your body into a natural flow state that is very healing. The article even states: "Shoot for two quarts or more over a few hours." I know that's a lot but as you imbibe, your body will naturally begin to relax. I have learned that when it comes to healing, one of the key words is flow: flow of energy, flow of every rhythm in your body. Water helps with all of this.

I hope that you find what I learned worth sharing. Have a lovely Tuesday everyone!

saving medical bills

When you have a family member who is often in the doctor’s office, you would really wish that said practice is a member of U.S. Physician’s Purchasing Group (USPPG). Why? Because if said medical practice is an affiliated member of USPPG, for sure the cost to go there would not be too much and would not break your bank account. USPPG is a medical buying group which would be willing to serve your favorite physicians for them to save on the cost of vaccines, medical/surgical supplies and other medical office services.

As member of USPPG, your physician will get discounted prices on the above mentioned health care products. This is really good news for all of us. If we will tell our medical care clinic about this medical buying group, I am pretty sure that we will not be paying a large sum of money for our medical bills. We better spread the word so we can save!

Welcome to Texas!

Yeah, that's what I said when we passed this sign during our drive from Colorado. This is going to be my home sweet home for we don't know how long. Hubby and I are really hoping that things will be better here for us especially for our Katiebug. I just can't help to have some qualms on this relocation but I believe it's quite normal to feel this way. We will just have to keep hoping and praying that everything will turn out well and great here in our new home in The Lone Star State, Texas.

Welcome to our new humble abode!

Katiebug turns 4!

I know this is kinda late but just the same I want to post my little girl’s birthday pictures. We didn’t have a big party just us and my sister-in-law’s family. However, I could tell that my little Katiebug did have a blast especially with her "princess cake" as you can tell in the pictures. That’s what she had been telling us that she would want on her 4th birthday.

Did you make a wish, Katiebug?

Daddy is teaching her how her princess walkie-talkie works.

Thanks, Aunt Becky and Uncle Kraig for the gift.

my birthday girl

Gee, I can’t believe she is 4 already. It seems just like yesterday when I gave birth to her in Colorado University Hospital. How time flies! But I tell you, since we had our little girl, the time goes by fast. It has really been eventful and full of fun; and we can’t thank enough the Lord for endowing this beautiful blessing, my baby girl to my hubby and me.

Charice's Note To God

That’s our very own Charice Pempengco singing her first single here in the United States titled, Note To God. She performed it at the finale of no less than The Oprah Winfrey Show’s Search for the World’s Most Talented Kids. The song is written by the legendary song writer, Diane Warren; and produced by the world renowned music composer, David Forster. Wow, what a brilliant piece! It really is so good.

I would also like to commend the magical orchestra behind her performance, it is just so phenomenal. You would think that it sounds like Ravel Virtual Studios for they are known to be a world class orchestra. With all their wide selection of musical instruments, techniques and articulations, and unlimited styles, for sure your piece will become exceptional like that of Charice’s performance.

We are very proud of you, Charice! And I hope and pray that your career will go a long, long way. Cheers!

at wit's end...

Wow, it’s been days since I last posted here! It’s just that everything has been so hectic these days for me and my family these days. With all the packing that we had to do for our relocation in Texas, it has been so crazy! Our minds are just in shambles right now. We cannot think straight. I am always trying to tell myself and hubby to do one thing at a time. Gee, when you have a lot in your mind, you just don’t know what to attend first.

Hopefully, I can get back on the blogosphere in full force when we are all settled in Texas. Thank you, my blogger friends for checking out my site even if I am slow with my posting these days. I promise, I will get back at you later. Again, a million thanks and I truly appreciate it. Have a good one all!
