biking for family

When my husband was younger he used to be into bicycles. He even lost his license once and had to ride his bicycle to work every day. Over the years with all of life’s changes, he quit cycling. Now that we have a daughter and she really likes bikes, we will be finding ourselves getting into bicycles again.

Our daughter loves her bicycle and every night when my husband gets home from work, she is waiting for him to take her outside so she can ride. We are thinking that it will be time to get ourselves some comfort bikes. We think we want comfort before pain if you know what I mean. As our daughter learns to ride, we can be practicing our biking from long ago. It is great exercise and we need that for sure.

I can only imagine my hubby in bike shorts. Well, maybe pants would be just fine. We are looking forward to something we can do as a family; and soon with God’s blessings, we will all be riding together. We will just have to be sure we get all the safety equipment required so that we all are safe riders.

night prayer of a mother and wife...

My, you just have to read this. I like it so much that I want to share this with you. I stumbled upon this in my newly found site which has tons of great reads which uplift your spirits. It focuses on inspiration, spirituality and faith. I just love it!

Here’s to all mothers and wives! This is our night prayer and it goes like this:

Lord, bless the man with whom I sleep
And in Your constant care him keep.
Bless our children as they grow,
Keep them safe from head to toe.
Bless all those in heaven with You
Give them the peace and rest they're due.
Bless all my family and my friends
Help them with means to their good ends.
And Lord, please bless me with sleep divine
To mend and soothe a weary mind. Amen.

your cosmetic surgeon in hawaii

Growing up in Hawaii probably is an amazing thing. You are always in the sun and having fun. We also know what the sun can do to the skin. In time it can leave scars and marks that are not desirable. Sometimes you will have to have surgery for skin cancers because being in the sun to much can cause that to. What people there in Hawaii need is a Hawaii Cosmetic Surgeon. The image of a Hawaiian girl is someone who is beautiful.

There are many models that come out of Hawaii. You know they probably had to use cosmetic surgery at one point in their life unless they were born that perfect. I know if we live d in Hawaii and we had extra money I think cosmetic surgery would be really cool. My hubby always says how beautiful I am so I don’t know if he would agree if I wanted surgery for my scars. I just know I’m glad that the opportunity is there if I ever needed it and I know my hubby would agree too.

she loves her daddy!

Look at this picture of my lovey doveys! They are watching TV in this picture. This is what usually happens every night. As soon as hubby steps in the door, my little katiebug will not let go of him. She would tag along with him everywhere he goes. Well, except in the bathroom, of course! She is no doubt a daddy’s girl in the true sense of the word. She would always say: “I love my Daddy!”

Thanks God for acneticin!

When I was younger I had acne problems. I think that most teenagers do these days. It can be anything from the food you eat to just hormones causing your acne. We uses to use all the cleanser and creams and with that cream all stuck to your face, what a mess. All the cleansers are good but they really left my face really dry.

I was noticing online they now make an oral acne treatment called acneticin. I was reading a website and there were some really good testimonials on how well this works. I love where the technology with medicine has gone. Just think, if our daughter has acne issues maybe a oral treatment would be really god for her. It would be so nice if she didn’t have to suffer through all the creams and cleansers like we did when we were kids. Thank God for acneticin.

what i think...

I really don’t like watching this season’s The Bachelorette. It is just full of drama and whiners. I never thought that men could whine like women, too. All the telling lies here and there and all! Geez, I just couldn’t stand it! That’s why I am not following the show this season. But sometimes, I can’t help to watch it since there is not much to see during Monday nights. I don’t know but after that season where it featured Deanna, I don’t like watching The The Bacheloretter no more. It's the same thing with The Bachelor, ugh! I could say that these shows are full of baloney! What do you think?

in need of a plastic surgeon?

I’ve always wondered about plastic surgery. You see situations where people are in car accidents and have to be put back together. If it wasn’t for plastic surgery like Des Moines Plastic Surgeon, someone would have to live with some really bad scars. I was looking online and found a website that has a plastic surgeon that does all kinds of plastic surgery. They have plastic surgery for people who have just had a weight loss procedure. I never knew this. I know for people who have had something that happened in their life that has affected their appearance, there is great news with the medical technology in plastic surgery.

Hubby had a friend in his college days that had a terrible car accident. She was really messed up and had gone through the windshield of her car. There were many surgeries to put her face back together. They even had to do some plastic surgery. Hubby said it was amazing how good she looked afterward. With self esteem issues of the modern day, thank God for the technology available to put beauty back when beauty is lost. From accidents to weight gain and loss, plastic surgery especially Des Moines Plastic Surgeon has become a part of everyday surgery.

my fruit lover little girl

We had to go to Target in Colorado Mills Mall to get my katiebug’s prescriptions. She is out of her medicines but unfortunately, one of the two medicines has no more refills. She has an appointment tomorrow with Dr. Gary Larsen, her pulmonologist in National Jewish, so she will have the said medicine by then.

While we were there, we also grabbed some groceries especially my little girl’s fruits like blueberries, grapes, strawberries and apples. I told you, that’s all she eats – FRUITS! She just loves them and if you will allow her, she will gobble them up in just one setting. She just loves fruits. I keep saying to her that I know you love fruits but you should also need to eat lots of rice and meat because it will make you more beautiful and bigger. She really needs lots of fatty food only that she doesn’t like them. Oh, well…

your motocross decor

When my husband was a child he really liked to ride motor cycles. He lived in the city so he always had to walk his motor cycle to the dirt hills because the police wouldn’t allow motor cycles on the streets of the city. He was too young to have a license so he was only allowed to be on the hills. Back then he wore a helmet but no protective equipment. He said he even had a lunch box for school that had motor cycle designs and pictures on the outside of it. You could say his motocross décor was simple back then.

Today we would wonder if our daughter would take after him and ride motor cycles. They make the coolest little motorcycles and it would be so cool if out little daughter road a dirt bike. We still need to teach her to ride a normal bike first. She could have the coolest motocross decor. She could wear the coolest bike outfits, even when learning how to ride a normal bike. Who knows what our daughter would like to do. If she likes dolls all the time or bikes and motocross, we will always be there to support her in her ventures of learning.

what about my tv options?

TV is becoming more and more expensive. We can only get the cable version of TV where we live at the moment. Someday when we move from here, we would like to have more options when it comes to our television. When we were living in a home, we had Satellite Directv. We really liked our Direct TV because of the programming options.

When we decide to move from our town home into a regular home, we would like to get our Direct T V back again. We were looking online and found a web site that compares all the TV services. At mytvoptions.com, they compare all the services that are available in your area. We looked and found that we still preferred Direct Satellite TV.

We have always had great customer service from them and like the equipment and dvr options. I’m not sure what we would do if we couldn’t record our shows when we are away. I know hubby watches all his reality shows in his spare time because he is usually busy or we are out when the shows are on TV. I am really looking forward to the day we can get our own home again so we can choose the TV service we really like the best.

Make money selling your gold jewelry!

With today's economy, a lot of people have been finding that they need to sell their gold jewelry to help make ends meet with money problems. We have noticed that this can be a risky process. Some of my gold jewelry was given as a gift but some I’ve had and just don’t wear no more. The very last thing I wouldn’t want to happen is to get taken advantage of if I was to sell any of my gold jewelry.

I would want to know how to sell gold jewelry and make what I deserve from it. I will first learn about the process, find out the risk, and benefits. A Cash4Gold review blog exists in order to guide you towards selling gold online. Know more about Cash4Gold company here. I will also find out if I could also sell things like bullion bars, and rare coins. You never know what coins we could find being my hubby has a big huge jug full of old change. There might be some gold in there maybe.

We don’t really need to sell any of our gold right now but it would sure be nice to know how if we needed to. It could be fun for us to find some gold and see if we could sell or turn it for a profit ourselves. This could be a fun new hobby for us to look into.

just so grateful...

 Image via: www.profile-graphics.net

I am so happy and thankful that my passport was all taken care of. Yesterday, my friends let me tagged along with them to Colorado Springs so we can renew our passports. The Philippine Consulate Office – San Francisco are in Colorado since Friday to serve the Filipino Community here as regard to passport issues like dual citizenship, legal services (report of marriage), etc. How cool of them to bring their services here so we don’t have to go to California just for this problem.

It was really a huge relief from both hubby and I. We don’t have to spend a lot of money, time and effort for this problem. You see, my passport expires next month so can you imagine how thankful we are for this most timely opportunity. You could really hear a HUGE sigh of relief from me, WHEEEWWW! Thank you, Lord for this blessing. It truly is one big chunk off our worry list. Thanks to the Philippine Consulate Office – San Francisco for extending their services here. And thank you, Tess and Joy for letting me go with you; and to Sharon Mae for taking care of my bug while I was on my passport feat. I owe you lots!

The rising cost of health care

We have seen in recent years the rising cost of health care really put a burden on families seeking treatment for various health problems. What would be really nice is if you could go to a web site and you could find out Treatments for Symptoms of the small things that you may be experiencing. One of the things to always remember is that consulting your doctor still is the best thing to do.

With some things like fever, colds, and other illnesses, there is the opportunity to use herbal or alternative medicine to help with treating your symptoms. You can use herbs, ointments and over the counter medicine to treat even rashes, skin problems and allergic reactions to environmental conditions around you. Consult The Amen Clinics by Dr Daniel Amen for matters related to treatment for symptoms. Know more about the Amen Clinics' profile here.

I know my husband and I have seasonal allergies. It always seems like the doctors don’t even help with most of their prescribed medicines. I believe that alternative treatments or herbs would be a great option for our small ailments like this. My husband has suffered from allergies for years and has given up on doctors. These will be a great idea for him and maybe he can overcome the discomforts of seasonal allergies forever.

is there an age limit in driving?

My hubby came home tonight and told me about an older lady that still is driving. She is using a walker and is 88 years old from what he says. Her car is in for repairs and the part to fix it is on order and cannot be had for some days now. The lady said that she really needs her car because she will be driving to Canada for her vacation. Oh my, 88 years old and she can hardly walk but she is still driving. How cool is that!

When hubby and I get older, I hope we are that mobile and able to drive places. Hubby's grandpa was driving at age 92 and was still driving when he passed away. At least he was able to get around until his last days.

I think it’s great that in today’s world there is the ability to get around for even the older folks. That makes it so they still can feel good about themselves and not to always rely on others for all the help. I think it helps older people live longer when they can still get out and enjoy life.

improving your credit with DSI Solutions

We have a friend who has been in a financial mess since last year. Their beautiful house with a number of acres of land was foreclosed; and they are now living at his mother’s place for the meantime that they are in the process of credit repair or building up their credit record. As we all know that a good credit score is needed so we can get a car or a house loan here in the United States.

That’s how scary it is here in the US, it will take you years to improve credit rating, but it will only take one moment to make it bad. That’s why companies which offer credit repair services like DSI Solutions are considered to be life-savers to those who are in financial trouble. They will help you fix your credit without you going through all the stresses and the difficulty. I am sure our friend will be glad to use this company to get them out of the hole. I truly hope and pray so.

on the video, White Horse

Here’s another Taylor Swift video which I find so cute. I don’t know guys but I feel like some teenage girl here watching this video. The title of the song is White Horse, to which the American Country Singer is one of the co-writers. My Katiebug also likes the song. Obviously, we are into Taylor Swift's video these days, you think?

Well, we just find her very talented behind that beautiful face. This video was released on Country Music Television on February 7 this year. It debuted at the top spot of CMT's Top Twenty Countdown for the week of February 20, 2009, and has spent 9 consecutive weeks at #1 since. Isn't that amazing?

Bon voyage to my friend!

A friend of mine and her two kids will be having a grand vacation in the Philippines soon. They will be leaving by next week and I am so green with envy because I also want to go visit my family and friends in my own country, Philippines. For sure, this friend of mine and her kids will be hopping from one beach resort to another for there are a lot of beautiful white sandy beaches there.

Well, I just have to console myself that there are also a lot of awesome beach resorts here in the United States like Myrtle Beach Resort, right? With all its amenities like outdoor and indoor pools with the view of the ocean from your Oceanfront Hotel Myrtle Beach, I am sure my family will have so much fun and excitement. Looking at the picture above says it all right? It definitely spells fun and relaxing. I am sure my hubby would also love to have a vacation in a Resort in Myrtle Beach. It would truly help him recoup from all the stresses from his work.

Yeah, I just wish my friend to have a safe and an enjoyable vacation in the Philippines. She truly deserves a grand vacation for she had been working hard for years. To Gina and kids, “Bon Voyage!” Have a wonderful time with your family and friends in the Philippines!

my bug's you belong with me

Here’s to wake us up on this sleepy Thursday! Isn’t that a cool song? Its title is You Belong With Me by the teen sensation, Taylor Swift. My little bug here is always claiming that the song is hers. Every time we hear it on our car’s XM Radio, she would always say: “That’s my song, Mommy!” She will sing along with it and it’s so funny because she really doesn’t know most of the words but she always gets the last word. Hubby and I can’t help but get amused with our little girl.

a home is a home with plants

One of the things that makes a home a home is plants. We have a plant that has taken a lot of abuse. It has been moved a couple of times and frozen a time or two. It’s a snake plant and after all of its injuries, it is still living. It even needs soil in a bad way but my husband hasn’t brought any soil home for it yet. When we get our home in the future we want to build in some indoor and outdoor planters.

We love plants and having to live in a town home, it makes it really hard to put a planter in when the home really doesn’t belong to you. We want to plant flowers in the spring time and the best way to have that is to have window planters in front of your windows. It really gives your home a great look, in my opinion.

When we get our new home, I’m going to insist that we have planters so that I can grow flowers and vegetables. I believe that every home should have a planter or two. It’s good for the home and good for our health to have plants growing in the home and it adds that great look to a home. We have nothing to prove but we do want to have a great looking home for us and our friends to enjoy.

for my papa...

Today is my late father’s 6th death anniversary. I have been trying to call my family in the Philippines since last night but their phones just kept on ringing. So, I haven’t had any luck contacting them and this makes me kind of sad today. I just hope that the whole family are doing and feeling well.

Anyways, I know my father is happy right now as to what has become of his children. One of my siblings might be in a difficult situation but my other siblings and I have agreed to help him all the way. I’m sure my father is also happy with what has become of his oldest daughter who is “me.” You know, I could say that I was the wildest one in the family and I had disappointed him then.

My father must have been guiding me all along even from beyond because I can say that I am happy and contented with my life right now. He would always simply say then that: “In every problem, there is always a solution.” I just wish that he was able to have met my husband and my bug. Papa, thank you for everything and for guiding us all the way. Just continue to shine above so it will light up our way. You are always in our hearts and minds. We love you always.

an issue on joint replacement

With an aging population, we always wonder what if we have to have any joint replacement as we get older. We have an older friend that has had a Zimmer Durom cup replacement in his hip. At first he was feeling better after his recovery and then as time went on then the problems started to occur. With time he was wondering if it was the right decision to have the surgery in the first place.

He heard there were issues on Zimmer durom cup. Now he was at loss of what to do. We helped him with some research and found out that was a durom lawsuit or two out there from these defective medical parts and procedures. What a relief because this wasn’t a cheap procedure to have done and there was the question of how to set things right.

Now that he has found a durom lawyer, hopefully he can get things set right and move on to a long healthy life. We wish him the best and we are sure he is in good hands with someone who cares enough to help him with what he deserved in the first place.

went to see the ear doctor

We went to my ear specialist today and I am so glad that my right ear is at its 100% best again! Gee, hubby and I were like: "It shouldn't be this way, where every two months I have to go to the doctor just to have my ears cleaned." That's not healthy not to mention bank breaking! You know, paying co-pays every office visit is no fun at all.

The doctor said that the insides of my ear especially the right one is shaped funny that is why it would need a special machine to take out the build up. It is so special that you will be charged more than $300 per visit. Yeah, I told you! If it's not for health insurance, I don't know what we will do. I would be Cindy The Deaf right now, God forbids! Anyways, my doctor suggested to do a cleaning regimen by myself weekly by using the over the counter stuff. She added that if it still won't work then, I have to go back there and we will talk of other options. We will see how it goes!

build up your credit the right way

There are some things that we need to get done especially with our finances. We were wondering how we could maintain and build our credit while not having to pay all those high rates on our credit cards. I asked my husband, “What was the correct way for even me to build credit with having to have a high rate credit card”. He said that some of the best things to do are to get prepaid credit cards.

With a prepaid credit card, the fees are nothing compared to interest paid on a regular card, and you can borrow against money you put into the account so that your revolving debt isn’t increasing any more. We could get something like a prepaid master card and they are considered as good as regular credit cards. They have a limit that you set by the amount of money you put into the account. We use our debit card from our local bank to always get our groceries, why can we use something like a prepaid debit card to do the same and build our credit at the same time?

I think what we will be trying to do in the future is to get rid of our revolving credit cards and get a prepaid credit or debit card. This way we can still have credit that can help build our rating, so we can have more luck in the future if we decide to buy another house.

hubby gets some chores done today

Well, my husband called and said we are going to try to get all our doctor’s appointments done today. He made an appointment for me for my ears and one for our daughter for her check up at National Jewish. Because we have had an insurance change, we have been putting some of these off for a bit. When I seen him tonight he even had made dentist appointments for him and me to get our teeth cleaned. I’m glad he got this all done because it has been such a burden on him with all the changes lately.

Hopefully, he will get a check up soon because he is due for a yearly check up. I’m so glad he thinks of me and our daughter first and we are hoping he thinks of himself and gets a check up too. We want him to be healthy and happy too. I’ll make sure he doesn’t forget we love him too and encourage him to get a check up soon because we want to make sure he is always well. Thank God for a great husband and we would always want him to know we love him too, just like he loves us.

comparing credit cards

With financings getting very tight these days, my hubby is now looking at our credit cards in order to find a better interest rate. We seem to have fallen into the same trap that others have fallen into with high credit card debt. One of the places online that we have found that has a very good website to compare credit cards is comparecards.com.

Some of our credit cards have an interest-rate over 20%. It used to be credit card companies would fight to get your business and offer you a great deal. Then if you did not read the fine print, you got caught in one of those cards that the default rate was extremely high. It's kind of a bait and switch type situation which the credit card companies have gotten away with for many years. Now that some people that come into financial troubles in today's economy, the default rates on their credit cards is getting very high and it’s getting very hard to find a low interest credit card unless you have very perfect credit.

With the website comparecars.com, we have been able to look at the credit cards that we have; and apply and receive a credit card or two with a much lower interest rate. We always have been very good at keeping our bills up, but with today's economy, even we are having trouble keeping our bills on time. With the availability of these low interest credit cards we can transfer some of our high interest credit cards and enjoy a lower interest rate which will enable us to pay off our bills sooner.
