While we were in Costco last weekend, we also grabbed some fruity-flavored yogurt for me and for my little girl. It has been some time since the last time I had yogurt. It was just an all of a sudden decision for me to grab a big box of it. Maybe I missed my yogurt in the morning.
Speaking of yogurt, do you know that a daily seven-ounce of it is just as effective in boosting immunity as popping pills? Sounds interesting, huh? The healthy bacteria called Probiotics, or the live active cultures, keep the gut and intestinal tract free of disease-causing germs. In a study of 181 factory employees, it was found out that those who drank a daily supplement of Lactobacillus reuteri, a specific Probiotic that appears to stimulate white blood cells, took 33% fewer sick days than those given a placebo.
The information I gathered makes me want to devour the whole box of yogurt that we bought last weekend, hehehe. By the way, your optimal dose of yogurt should be two 6-ounce servings a day. Have a happy yogurt Thursday!
