is there an age limit in driving?

My hubby came home tonight and told me about an older lady that still is driving. She is using a walker and is 88 years old from what he says. Her car is in for repairs and the part to fix it is on order and cannot be had for some days now. The lady said that she really needs her car because she will be driving to Canada for her vacation. Oh my, 88 years old and she can hardly walk but she is still driving. How cool is that!

When hubby and I get older, I hope we are that mobile and able to drive places. Hubby's grandpa was driving at age 92 and was still driving when he passed away. At least he was able to get around until his last days.

I think it’s great that in today’s world there is the ability to get around for even the older folks. That makes it so they still can feel good about themselves and not to always rely on others for all the help. I think it helps older people live longer when they can still get out and enjoy life.

  1. Our neighbor here is around that age and she told me she's still driving. She's not on a walker but she walks really slow. She lives alone so I guess she doesn't have a choice but drive herself to wherever she has to go.

Hopping by here! Hope you're having a wonderful weekend.

  2. My father in law is 89 years old, plays the Wii and drives good pa din...LOL. At home, he does everything, but since nandito kami ni hubby, we let him do what he wants to do. He is so healthy pa rin. According to the news, teenagers caused more accidents than elderly drivers. As long as a person can drive and no health problems, there is no age limit naman siguro.

Check ko nga drivers handbook ko hahaha.
